I love rock and roll! Such an honor to get to work on the new logo design for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, an epic legend and total hero.

The challenge with this logo redesign was to keep the right balance between her name (Joan Jett) and the band name (and the Blackhearts) and make something that could have multiple lock ups to work in both vertical and horizontal spaces. Having something that maximizes the space and maintains appropriate hierarchy can be tricky. The logo needed to be not only flexible but feel bold, iconic and embody rock and roll.
